- One-Year Limited Warranty: All hardware, materials, and workmanship are warranted for one (1) year from the date of commencement of installation.
- Coverage includes:
- Repair or replacement of defective parts and materials.
- Labor to diagnose, repair, or replace covered defects during normal business hours.
- This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Manufacturer Warranties: Certain hardware may carry additional manufacturer warranties. Northstar will assist with claims where possible. Manufacturer remedies may include repair, replacement, or substitution with comparable refurbished equipment.
2. Warranty Service
During the warranty period, Northstar will respond promptly to valid claims. Customers should contact us as soon as a problem is discovered. We will inspect, troubleshoot, and perform necessary repairs or replacements at no charge for covered items.
After the Initial One-Year Period:
Standard labor rates will apply for any inspection, troubleshooting, service, repair, or replacement, even if parts remain covered by a manufacturer’s extended warranty.
3. Customer Obligations and Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, intentional acts, or unauthorized modifications/alterations by the customer, their agents, employees, or third-party vendors.
- Damage from severe weather, natural disasters, power surges, electrical issues, fire, flood, or other events commonly known as “Acts of God” (unless covered by separate insurance or manufacturer policy).
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues, or failures due to improper maintenance.
- Systems or components not installed by Northstar.
- Batteries, consumables, or items with a shorter expected lifespan (unless specified otherwise).
- Service calls outside normal business hours (additional fees may apply).
To Maintain Warranty: The customer must provide reasonable access to the premises, notify Northstar promptly in writing of any issues, and follow recommended maintenance guidelines. Failure to do so may void coverage.

- Your name, address, and contact information.

- Description of the issue with supporting photos if possible.
Northstar reserves the right to inspect the system before providing remedies.
5. Disclaimer of Other Warranties
Northstar disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Some states (including Maine) do not allow full waiver of implied warranties, so this disclaimer may not apply to you.
No Oral Modifications: No oral or written statements by Northstar employees, agents, or representatives shall create or modify this warranty.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Northstar be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages (including but not limited to loss of profits, business interruption, loss of data/privacy, personal injury, or other pecuniary losses) arising from the use or inability to use the system, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by jurisdiction.
